Welcome to the 17th Street Streetscape Project!
The
District Department of Transportation (DDOT) is proud to announce the 17th Street Streetscape project is underway. The goal of the project is to provide transportation, pedestrian and bicycle safety improvements, as well as streetscape enhancements to the 17th Street NW corridor between Massachusetts Avenue and New Hampshire Avenue.
The goals of the project are to:
Improve pedestrian, bicycle access and safety
Improve vehicular safety and flow improvement
Provide supplemental amenities such as landscaping, lighting and furniture
As always, DDOT reminds pedestrians and motorists to use caution when traveling through contstruction zones. Periodic updates will be posted to this site and also made available on the DDOT website, www.ddot.dc.gov.
